The spec flips accordingly, and we say so. A gift set can honestly carry on-glaze decoration in its full vivid palette, finer walls, and metallic accents that would never survive a commercial washer — because it will never meet one. Paying rack-cup money for a shelf cup is money wasted, and we will not quote it.

Why are gift cups specified differently from café cups?

Because they live differently. A gift set is washed by hand a few dozen times a year, so it can carry vivid on-glaze colour, fine walls and metallic accents honestly. A café cup meets a commercial washer daily and needs none of that and all of the durability. Selling one spec for both jobs shortchanges somebody; we quote them separately.

Can the box be branded too?

Yes — printed lid, inner tissue and a card if you want one. On a retail shelf the box does most of the selling before the cup is ever seen, and at a wedding it is the part guests carry home. We proof the box alongside the cups in the mockup.
