About

The cup outweighs the coffee ten to one.

Customized Espresso Cups makes porcelain to order — demitasse, cortado and cappuccino families, in-glaze branded café cups, rack-rated stackables, boxed gift sets and held-record programmes.

Custom printed espresso cups with logo

An espresso is about 25 millilitres. The cup it is poured into weighs ten times as much, and whichever of the two has the temperature wins.

That is the entire reason serious cafés store their cups on top of the machine: a room-temperature cup strips the heat out of a shot in the first seconds, before the first sip. The cup is not an accessory to the espresso. Thermally, it is most of it.

So we sell cups the way baristas judge them — by wall thickness, weight, bowl shape and millilitres — and we fire the branding into the glaze, because a café cup meets a commercial dishwasher thousands of times a year and anything printed on top of the glaze is on borrowed time.

Why we exist

Three questions decide whether a cup order works, and none of them appears on a normal drinkware listing.

**How heavy is the wall?** The porcelain’s temperature decides the drink’s, so thermal mass is the product. Our quotes state wall thickness and cup weight, and we ask whether the cups will live on the machine’s warmer before recommending either.

**Where does the print sit?** On-glaze decals sit on the surface and fade to a ghost under commercial washing — read the oldest cup in any café. In-glaze and under-glaze decoration is fired into or beneath the glassy surface itself and outlives the cup. The method is named on every quote.

**How many millilitres?** Size names lie between makers. An espresso cup is 60-90ml, a cortado around 120-130ml, a cappuccino around 150-180ml — and a shot served in a 200ml “small” spreads thin, breaks its crema and dies cold with the barista blameless.

What we actually make

Classic thick-walled porcelain demitasse cups with saucers. Matched cortado and cappuccino families in one glaze and one record. In-glaze branded café cups for working rails. Stackable rack cups with rolled reinforced rims. Boxed gift and retail sets specified honestly for gentle use. And programmes that hold the glaze, artwork, method and sizes on file so breakage becomes a reorder line instead of a mismatched shelf.

Every quote names the capacity in millilitres, the wall spec and the decoration method, rather than leaving them to be inferred from a photograph.

What we do not make

Enamelled steel mugs. Glass drinkware of any kind — no double-walled glasses, no cortado glasses. Paper takeaway cups and their sleeves. Cold-drink and boba cups. Drink carriers. Each is its own product with its own specialist, and we will point you at one rather than sell you the wrong thing.

And we will not sell rack-spec cups to a gift programme or gift-spec cups to a working café. The two live entirely different lives, and quoting one for the other shortchanges somebody.

The tests you can run yourself

Touch the cups on the rail at any café that takes coffee seriously. They are warm before any coffee touches them — that is the machine’s cup warmer doing the job this whole site is about.

Pour the same shot into a proper demitasse and into a mug. Watch what happens to the crema in each. The difference needs no instrument.

Find the oldest branded cup in your own cupboard or café and read what is left of the logo. If it has ghosted, it was printed on the glaze, not fired into it.

How we price

No dollar figures on this site. Price moves with the body, the wall spec, the decoration method, the family of sizes and the quantity — and the biggest lever on whether the rail still looks right in year three is the decoration method, which is exactly the line most quotes omit. Send the details and a real quote comes back the same day, with a lowest-price guarantee if you are already holding a cheaper one. Ask that supplier where their print sits.

On branding

A wordmark or crest fired in-glaze on the cup’s face, a monogram under-glaze, a matched mark across the whole family, or the full vivid on-glaze palette where a gift set honestly allows it.

The discipline is matching the method to the life: in-glaze for anything that meets a commercial washer, on-glaze only where washing is rare, and the trade-offs shown in the mockup on the real artwork.

Glaze, artwork, method and sizes are held on file for every set we make, so a top-up joins the rail without a visible seam.
